Marex Group, a diversified global financial services platform, has agreed to acquire Valcourt SA, a Geneva-based fixed income market Maker specializing in high-yield, subordinated, and emerging market debt. The deal, pending regulatory approval, is slated to close in the first half of 2026.

Valcourt's client base of 700 institutions—including banks, wealth managers, and asset managers—will bolster Marex's fixed income business. The acquisition aligns with Marex's strategy to expand its platform with new capabilities and diversify earnings, particularly in Switzerland's private banking and asset management sectors.

Paolo Tonucci, Marex's Chief Strategist and CEO of Capital Markets, highlighted Valcourt's expertise and Swiss institutional relationships as key drivers for the deal. Mike Conway, Valcourt's CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the merger, though his full statement was truncated in the source material.
